Canadian citizenship
Applying online for citizenship
A citizenship application is usually made through your online IRCC account. Here are the steps after you submit, too.
An overview
In most cases the citizenship application is made online and documents are uploaded. After you pay and submit, IRCC confirms it has received your application and tells you the next steps.
A citizenship test, an interview or requests for more documents may follow. At the end there is the citizenship oath ceremony.
